Great topic! For starting the search, I found Kijiji and Facebook Marketplace super useful, especially for finding rooms or shared accommodations which can be an easier entry point. Realtor.ca is more for whole units. One huge tip: always insist on a video call if an in-person viewing isn’t possible, and never send money for a deposit or ‘holding fee’ before you’ve seen the place and signed a lease. Scammers are everywhere, unfortunately.
